TURNKEY FIRE PROTECTION PROJECTS
With highly skilled artisans and fire protection engineers CRA is capable of executing the fabrication and installation of fire suppression systems that include foam, water, gas and water mist. Fire detection systems include smoke, heat, beam, air sampling, IR detectors and thermal imaging fire detection. We supply and install numerous types of handheld fire equipment. We also offer a range of Service Level Agreements.
PHYSICAL RISK MONITORING
We utilise the latest risk management monitoring software to enhance our client's risk management strategy through our comprehensive auditing process, covering the entire spectrum of traditionally insured as well as uninsured risks. Our newly developed project risk management monitoring programme identifies and diminishes the impace of all project show-stoppers.

Collaborative Risk Applications (CRA) has developed unique risk monitoring and evaluating programmes that focus on physical risks. The diverse company structure of CRA puts us in the unique position to act as an EPCC Fire Engineering Company, able to manage the entire physical risk process from Risk Assessment through to System Design, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation and Commissioning.
CRA was founded in 2005 with the explicit aim of servicing the mining, smelting and related industries in assessing special risks of all kinds and to assist clients to eliminate or reduce the adverse impact of negative events.

PROJECTS
A FIRST IN AFRICA
Eight highly effective, FM approved, hybrid watermist systems are currently being installed at the Husab Uranium Mine, Namibia. These systems will protect critical risk areas including laboratories, control rooms, server rooms and archives. Husab is expected to the be the second largest uranium mine in the world.
WORLD-CLASS ACHIEVEMENT
Collaborative Risk Applications played a major role in the multi-million rand fire protection upgrade programme at Black Rock Mine. A major underground fire booster pump station and a 750m₃ fire water reservoir were constructed, under extremely harsh conditions, to protect major underground fire risks. Black Rock represents one of the largest manganese reserves in South Africa and is considered by Insurance Underwriters as one of the mines with the highest level of fire risk protection.
